Mercy High School was founded in 1960 by the Sisters of Mercy to provide an exceptional educational experience to young Catholic women.

With the motto “The Magic of Mercy” the school embarked on an expansion campaign that included the construction of a new auditorium to serve the drama department. The Performing Arts Center has a capacity of 700 seats along with new drama studios, music classrooms, a dance studio, and a set design classroom.
