In an effort to expand their mission of offering rehabilitative services and housing to women and children in need, Marian House embarked on a journey to renovate the historic Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. The adaptive reuse project transformed former classroom spaces into 22 new apartments, and while the one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and loft style units all offer modern amenities, the corridors still echo the style and intent of the original architecture. The existing hardwood and terrazzo floors have been restored, the existing stairwells and monumental window openings have been preserved, and new schoolhouse fixtures flood the halls with a guiding light.
