Hillcrest Heights Branch Library

Temple Hills, Maryland
Project type: Cultural
Tags: Interiors

The Hillcrest Heights Branch was an aging library in a community that was in need of access to technology, job training, and learning resources. As part of a system-wide renovation program, the library has been invigorated with the introduction of colorful and contemporary improvements that include a WiFi lounge, over 60 public access computer stations, a new circulation desk, and new information desks.

A focal point of the revitalization was the special children’s collection area, which utilizes a circus theme complete with circus tent and color changing LED lighting that leads children toward bookshelves wrapped in an array of playful finishes.
