Grassroots is a private non-profit, human service agency that has been serving Howard County and Central Maryland for over 30 years. Their mission is to create the opportunity for people in crisis and in need to make positive empowering changes in their lives by being a 24-hour resource for them; responding helpfully and professionally, while recognizing each person’s individuality and dignity.
The Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center provides a variety of social services that address family, domestic and personal crisis resolution. This project involved the construction of a new facility to accommodate counseling offices, a 24-hour hotline service, food service, and a 50 bed homeless shelter.
