Recipient of the Maryland Historic Trust Preservation Project Award, this is the oldest railroad station in America.
The project involved the re-creation of a 19th century turtable structure - the original railway configuration and interior alterations. Other site improvements included handicap accessibility modifications, ornamental fencing, and site lighting.
The Project required approval of multiple agencies including the Maryland State Highway (ISTEA Grant), Maryland Historic Trust, and the Ellicott City Historical District Commission.
